On 23rd June 2016, 51.9% of the British population voted to leave the European Union (EU). Since then, the UK government has been negotiating with the EU to reach a deal on the future of the relationship. The UK was supposed to leave the EU on 29th March 2019. Yet, a deal has not been made betweeen the UK and EU. Therefore, the EU has extended Brexit until 31st October 2019.
