The UKFast training and education department is underpinned and led by two former teachers – not trainers, real school teachers. With that comes an incomparable skill-set and knowledge of education. Combining these components with the freedom of the private sector, we’ve had phenomenal results.
Our state-of-the-art training centre is accredited to test and certify industry qualifications including Cisco, Magento, Red Hat, ITIL, Microsoft, VMware, Citrix and Dell certifications. It is also the only Linux Professional Institute accredited testing centre in the UK, as well as being Pearson VUE and CompTIA accredited.
UKFast’s award-winning, custom-built training centre is where all new members of the UKFast team are introduced to the business and where they return to receive continuous education and professional development throughout their careers.
People are what make this business great which is what led us to investing £4.2 million in our state-of-the-art training facility to keep all of our team qualified and knowledgeable on the latest developments in their respective areas.
We’re not just training our Level 3 engineers – the entire company is on their way to new qualifications all the time, and that means that our exam centre has to be ready for anything.
We work with more than 56,000 pupils across 60+ schools in Greater Manchester and beyond. Providing workshops, office and data centre tours, career masterclasses, work experiences, code clubs, and hands-on technology experience to children from all socio-economic backgrounds.
Our school holiday Code Clubs are award-winning and have been awarded Star Code Club status by the nationwide Code Club organisation.
UKFast invests in seven Raspberry Pi Cafes to educate and inspire the next generation of tech superstars, as they discover the impact of technology on everyday life.
Our apprenticeship scheme is led by a team of former school teachers, who are fully qualified to deliver our Level 2, 3 and 4 apprenticeship programmes on site.
As part of UKFast's mission, the education team reaches out to children across Greater Manchester through school outreach programmes which include career events, tech masterclasses, work experience offerings, teacher development, specialist eLearning platforms, and official collaborative partnerships.
These partnerships with multiple local schools as well as the Diane Modahl Sports Foundation (DMSF) and the Trafford Youth Trust (TYT), give young people from some of Greater Manchester’s most under-privileged areas access to modern technology and education. Beyond the technology, UKFast works with our partners to provide career opportunities and to help develop young people with business acumen, entrepreneurial skills, communication skills and confidence.
