UKFast is currently looking for an experienced PHP Developer to join our eCloud product team, to help us deliver our cloud platform vision for the future. Reporting to the product team’s Senior PHP Developer, you will be instrumental in delivering our exciting and highly competitive eCloud product.

eCloud is the UK’s largest, high-performance, privately-owned cloud computing platform, built on enterprise grade technology from global partners including VMware, Cisco & HPE. Rivalling public cloud platforms for performance and value for money, eCloud is highly flexible and defence-level secure. Our bespoke solutions minimise the need for customers to rearchitect, streamlining their migration and enabling certainty of success.

Our orchestration and API layers power the end-to-end automation that takes a customer’s request for service and turns this into a fully virtual private cloud offering a scalable, secure and resilient hosting platform for our customers to deploy their applications.

Our eCloud product is responsible for a significant chunk of UKFast’s revenue – in many ways it is the business’s most important product. Our strategy will see this platform continue to grow with multiple important feature launches planned this year, including the enablement of a true hybrid cloud product set. You and your team will be responsible for this incredibly exciting part of our journey as a business.

  • Appreciation for quality and beautifully written code with the ability to drive standards within a team
  • A deep understanding of Microservice architecture and the benefits this brings to building scalable platforms
  • Real world use of deploying to Public Cloud platforms so you understand things from our customer’s perspective
  • Extreme attention to detail and quality – to ensure the services we provide for our customers do what they say every time
