The Opportunity

UKFast is currently looking for a Security Analyst to join our evolving Security Team. You should have a proactive approach to your work and always have our clients at the focus of your work. Reporting primarily to the Head of Security, the role as UKFast Security Analyst will play a key part  in the further development of UKFast’s  security products as the department looks to expand.

As a Security Analyst at UKFast it is your responsibility to ensure that UKFast’s digital assets are protected from unauthorised access. This includes securing both online and on-premise infrastructures, weeding through metrics and data to filter out suspicious activity, and finding and mitigating risks before breaches occur. If a breach does occur, security analysts are often on the front line, leading efforts to counter the attack.

 You are responsible for generating reports for senior business members to evaluate the efficiency of the security policies UKFast have in place and assisting to make the necessary changes for a more secure network.

You will be responsible for keeping the company's security systems up to date and creating documentation and planning for all security-related information, including incident response and disaster recovery plans. Additionally, you will create and help deliver training programs and modules to educate employees and users on proper security protocols.

We protect our customers 24/7/365. The working hours for this role are 8:00pm-8:00am.

What you will do

  • Assist with compromise investigations and e-discovery requests
  • Liaise with clients via ticket and phone call
  • Review vulnerability scans and provide remediation advice to clients
  • Proactively monitor client solutions
  • Monitor and respond to SOC alerts
  • Install and maintain Threat SOC agents
  • Assist Sales/Account Managers with client security
  • Regular patching and maintenance of Threat SOC Infrastructure
