UKFast Ploughs Profits Into Client Support

Article date: Thu, 29 Aug 2013 09:24 GMT

CEO Lawrence Jones celebrates latest sales milestone

Cloud and colocation firm UKFast is reinvesting revenue from its best month ever directly into product development, its support environment and security grants for existing clients.

CEO Lawrence Jones is celebrating the business's latest sales milestone by ploughing record amounts into areas of the firm that impact clients most.

Jones said: "Growing a business as quickly as this has its challenges and we learn a lot by listening to our clients. We're incredibly grateful for their support and we want to show that by investing back into the areas that affect them most on the front line.

"We're committed to a huge recruitment plan that will allow us to grow our technical support team, we are continuing our investment in building the highest-specification data centre space and we are pushing forward with product innovation and ways to help clients grow with us."

Last week UKFast launched BASE (Building A Safer Environment) Fund which makes top quality security solutions available to businesses who can't cope with suddenly-inflated prices from IT companies hoping to cash-in on their fears of online attacks.

UKFast grants £5,000 for each business that qualifies for the funding to boost their solution's security.

Jones says: "While other providers are hiking the prices of firewalls in an attempt to cash-in on businesses' cyber fears, we believe that our clients deserve the best and we want to make it easy for them to be secure.

"The BASEfund is designed to help businesses get the security they need. It makes sense and seems logical to me. It's a small price to pay when you consider how much faith our clients invest in us by entrusting us with their business data.

"I'd like to think that one day all hosting providers will be doing the same."
