As part of the New Year's expansion, UKFast opened its new data centre MANOC 2 today. The facility allows the Internet Service Provider to offer a whole new raft of clients the secure server solutions that have made the GraphiteRack range synonymous with performance, reliability and care.
Neil Lathwood, UKFast's Network Director has overseen the design of the new complex and charts it as a crucial link in the company chain. “The facility we've been gifted here is fantastic. The technical spec of the building has allowed us to think very advantageously about the space. New server sizes are now on the cards further reducing the heat retention. Our clients are getting the best the industry can offer.”
UKFast is beginning the year as Future Publishing's Best Business ISP and 2004 figures show that the company's steady turnover increase has taken a skyrocket and doubled in the last year. The result has been an opportunity to put more back into the business and build a resilient future for clients and staff.
Lawrence Jones, MD of UKFast sees the facility as an opportunity to bolster an already solid infrastructure. “By creating gigabit connections between Manchester's major data centres we are offering our clients more back-up and security than they will ever need. The business world is constantly evolving its Internet requirements. We are in a position to take on any project and any company from Tesco to Timpsons.”
UKFast are also in talks to add Manchester's Telecity to their list of facilities, which will create a full circle around the North West's biggest city.
