UKFast combines eye catching design and a varied strategy to win the organisers Best Stand award at this years Internet World. With thousands of people through the gates and hundreds of stands attracting custom, UKFast's Chairman, Lawrence Jones is thrilled with the accolade against such competition.
He puts the ISP's success down to a fantastic team effort. “You get back what you put in at trade shows,” says Jones. “We designed our stand to have several areas of activity and peopled them with welcoming and knowledgeable staff.”
Offering the chance to sit on a genuine Ducati racing bike was a definite draw and the UKFast Podcast also generated crowds. However, it was the free giveaways such as USB Flash Drives along with the stand's Smoothie Bar that caused the greatest stir.
Show Director James Drake-Brockman had to admit a small addiction to the refreshing blends made by award winning restaurant and bar chain The Living Room. He also took part in UKFast's first podcast from the event discussing the importance of face-to-face interaction within the industry.
“Winning the award is the silver lining to a tremendous week for us,” says Jones. “It's great to come down to London, meet some of the most important people in the industry and return to Manchester with further proof that we are not just competing, but leading the UK's top hosting providers.”
