The Manchester Evening News and reputation management firm Fishburn Hedges have chosen UKFast to join a North West focus group. The group of businesses is brought together to discuss the importance of workplace engagement in successful businesses.
The panel will work in line with the People InterAction campaign which aims to raise awareness and inspire employers of all types and sizes within England. Both initiatives are designed to respond to a new study commissioned by the government; 'Engaging for Success', which explores the benefits and drivers of employee engagement in business.
UKFast's managing director Lawrence Jones will speak on issues including leadership, the team, employee voice and organisational integrity when the group first meets at the end of November.
UKFast were invited onto the panel through recommendation from Best Companies Ltd, who found the hosting provider to be one of the North West's top scoring places to work in March this year.
Those joining Jones on the panel include Nita Clarke, one of the co-authors of the Engaging for Success report, Greater Manchester Chamber President Dr Moneeb Awan and Rachel Dobson HR Director at Pannone Solicitors. The panel will be chaired by Kevin Feddy, the Manchester Evening News' Business Editor.
This is not the first time Jones has been invited to join focus groups on team motivation. His reputation as an innovator in the fields of training and staff retention has come from initiatives such as Castell Cidwm, the company's outbound training centre in Snowdonia, the UKFast University and video iPods for seminar revision.
