UKFast cemented its position as a great workplace this week, throwing a festival to thank its employees for another year of industry-leading service and support.
The festival, UKFest, saw a two-day music line up, fairground rides and a 100ft inflatable assault course enjoyed by all of the UKFast team and their friends and family.
UKFast founders Lawrence Jones and wife Gail hosted the festival on their own property, catering for more 1500 of the UKFast team, friends and family, many of whom camped, between Friday evening and Sunday.
Jones said: “Our team work extraordinarily hard to provide the best level of service they can, and this year has not only seen record growth for UKFast, but record NPS scores as well, so it is only fair that we reward our team.
"You can’t put a price on happiness and you can’t have happy, satisfied customers without a happy team.
"We all celebrated together and really it’s about Gail and I saying thank you to the team for all their hard work. Our team works incredibly hard, we’re a fast-paced 24/7/365 business, so we want to do all we can to show that their hard work is appreciated."
Guests at the festival enjoyed live music from headliner Example and a whole host of amazing bands and DJs. The event was catered with a London Bus Bar, street food vendors and a prosecco lawn.
Jones continued: "UKFast has grown for 17 consecutive years and I believe it’s about retaining great people and making them feel valued. I’d ask business owners to what extent are you prepared to go to say thank you to your team? In the long run it’s good for your business.
"We want all our teams’ friends and families to get involved and really see what the culture at UKFast is about. Life is about making memories together, with colleagues, family and friends."
Jones is planning to expand the festival, inviting clients and the tech community to future events.
The firm founded by the fun-loving CEO boasts numerous awards for culture and employee engagement, ranking as the 5th Best Workplace in the Great Place to Work 2016 list.
