UKFast Announced as Creative Cup Sponsor
Article date: Fri, 19 Sep 2014 17:15 GMTHosting and colocation firm UKFast is calling on all Manchester creatives to step up to the challenge of the Creative Cup this October, having been announced as the tournament's main sponsor for the second year. The football tournament brings together teams from the region's digital, marketing and PR greats to battle it out in the name of charity - last year pitting sponsor UKFast against marketing agency McCann Manchester in a hotly contested final. This year the event is raising money for local charity Forever Manchester. Creative Cup founder and digital designer Ian James Cox said: "The Creative Cup is an event that brings our area's agencies together for a day of fun. It's away from meeting rooms and award ceremonies. "It's a chance for everyone to kick back with a beer and a football. But, what's most important for me is that we are raising money for a great cause too." Lawrence Jones, CEO of main sponsor and last year's Creative Cup victor, UKFast said: "We will always get behind events that bring together Manchester's thriving creative community in the name of charity. "The Creative Cup does this, and it is a chance for the city's agencies and digital pioneers to get together away from the usual environments and get to know each other - which can only lead to a stronger community in the future." The Creative Cup kicks off on Sunday 5th October at the Powerleague, Ardwick. Teams should arrive at 11.15am to register before the first kick off at 12n. Entry fee is £105 per team with all proceeds going to the Forever Manchester charity. To sign up visit the event website www.creative-cup.com.
