UKFast ranks 38 in Tech Track 100

Web hosting expert UKFast is one of the fastest growing technology companies in the UK and the fastest in Greater Manchester, the Sunday Times Tech Track 100 states.

The Sunday Times Tech Track 100 published on the 20th of September 2009 places UKFast 38th in the nationwide list, 3rd in the North West and top in Manchester. The achievement, which follows on from being named in the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 in 2008, reflects the continued successful business model that UKFast has pursued despite the difficult economic climate.

The Sunday Times list reviews the most recent three years of financial figures for each of the privately owned UK technology companies eligible and then ranks them based on rate of growth. UKFast earned its high placing by delivering impressive growth of 67% year on year since 2005.

Managing director Lawrence Jones credits the rapid growth to UKFast's continued commitment to offering its clients more while rivals opted to cut back. Over the last three years the company has reinvested millions into new infrastructure, technology and training facilities to enhance its services further.

For example, UKFast's R&D team has continued to deliver innovation through implementing an improved client interface, by unveiling PROprotection (a new benchmark of security protection for the hosting industry) and through launching the UK's largest Cloud Computing solution. And this is to name just three developments.

"To be the fastest growing company in Manchester is a great achievement", says Jones. "I'm delighted that this accolade reinforces my strong belief that we should always be striving to offer our clients more value."

Jones added, "and it's fantastic that the fastest growing company in the UK is based in the North West. It gives us something else to aim for".
