Sharks Break Records With UKFAST

The Sharks Rugby club has achieved record pre-booked ticket sales for this Friday's match against Leicester Tigers. The recent uptake can be attributed to the team's successful start to the season, as well as the switch to Friday Night Rugby. However, the Sharks' ticket sales office has had no problem coping with the recent surge, thanks to the launch of a sleek new website by Official Technology Partner UKFAST.

The new website,, provides the user with cleaner and more efficient access to the key information: team news, upcoming match details, and online ticket booking. The site went live just before the Sharks last gasp victory against Northampton ten days ago, and the positive effects are already being felt in the ticket sales figures for the Leicester match.

At least 40% of the record number of pre-bookings over the last week have come through as online sales over the website. According to Sharks' Ticket Sales Manager Rob McEvoy, "We're selling nearly as many tickets when the office is closed as when it is open." The new website has enabled the Sharks to come with the volume of new ticket sales without adding any extra staff to the ticket office.

UKFAST are beginning their second season as 'Official Technology Partners' of Sharks Rugby. Over the past season, UKFAST have steadily developed the Sharks website into an online business solution. In addition to the ability to update the site immediately with all the latest club news, UKFAST have enabled the Sharks' marketing team to have direct email access with thousands of supporters. This has been an ideal method of keeping customers up to date with special offers on tickets and corporate hospitality.

As part of UKFAST's commitment to the Sharks, they are the sponsors of club star and England International fly half, Charlie Hodgson. Charlie's drop goal at the final whistle gave the Sharks a most thrilling victory over Northampton on opening night. Combine the heroics on the pitch with the outstanding support of business partners such as UKFAST, and the Sharks look set to be breaking records for years to come.
