Scottish companies use UKFast for online stability
Article date: Thu, 03 Aug 2006 16:13 GMTScottish businesses serious about the Internet are looking outside their own country to find reliable website hosting, but they're not going as far as London according to Manchester based ISP, UKFast. UKFast, twice winner of the ISPA's best web hosting award, has just announced another record breaking quarter. Server clients on the UKFast Network have increased by 50% in the first 6 months of 2006 and some interesting trends are emerging. “We've worked hard to raise our profile across the UK,” says UKFast MD, Lawrence Jones. “From Aberdeen down to Cornwall, the UKFast brand is attracting serious online businesses. We're even becoming the ISP of choice for foreign companies looking to attract UK consumers.” Scottish businesses on the UKFast Network have increased their number by 68% so far in 2006, with businesses from the South West of England following them with 45% growth. “It's not just the quantity of new clients, but the comprehensive nature of their Internet solutions,” explains Jones. “There is no obvious Internet capital in the UK anymore. It's one of the beauties of the Net.” Tadpole Technology Plc is one of Edinburgh's new wave of Internet heavyweights, building their online presence in order to remain at the top of their game. “ A strong online identity is becoming increasingly important to Tadpole,” comments Tadpole Technology marketing co-ordinator, Hilary McGranaghan. “We work with a range of customers worldwide and our Internet presence enables us to meet the demands of a global marketplace. Our website is fast becoming the central point of interaction with our customers, not only as a communication tool, but for ordering and accessing our products.” For more information or to arrange an interview contact Jonathan Bowers 0870 421 1585.
