Manchester's Young Director of the Year?

Every year, the Institute of Directors recognises pioneering individuals who use their leadership skills to make a difference for their company, community and industry. The 2007 finalists have been announced and UKFast's Lawrence Jones is delighted to be in the running for Manchester's Young Director of the Year.
Jones established UKFast in 1999 having identified a gap in the market. His company goal has always been to provide 24/7 hosting for serious internet businesses and offer a level of customer care that is unusual within the technology sector. His inclusion on this year's shortlist is a firm indication that this vision is both achievable and effective.
“It fantastic to receive professional approval from a body like the IoD,” says Jones. “We have a strong vision of what the UK's online business landscape will look like in the coming years and my whole team is dedicated to taking us there. It's their expertise and enthusiasm that enables me to be considered for an award like this.”
The ceremony takes place at the City of Manchester Stadium on Thursday 20 September and is hosted by Trevor MacDonald OBE. The awards cover the whole of the North West, so as well as Manchester business leaders, awards will be presented to directors from Cheshire, Liverpool, Lancashire and Cumbria.
