Hosting and colocation firm UKFast has scooped its second DatacenterDynamics Award, just two years after moving into the data centre arena.
UKFast was awarded with the 'Innovation in Outsourcing Award' in recognition of their revolutionary eCloud and commitment to innovation throughout the firm.
Last year, UKFast took home the 'Special Assignment Team of the Year' - a nod to its mission to move 10,000 live servers into its first wholly owned and developed data centre in Manchester's Trafford Park.
Lawrence Jones, CEO of UKFast said: "We are so proud to win this award and to be recognised for our commitment to placing people and innovation at the core of the industry.
"It's a great testament to the whole team and their incredible effort and accomplishments."
UKFast was presented with the Innovation in Outsourcing award after creating the first truly elastic cloud that is fully designed, managed and hosted in the UK; which levels the playing field for all sizes of business to access the Rolls Royce of cloud infrastructure.
Within the eCloud, the UKFast team developed its own cloud orchestrator to enable the team to make bespoke solutions quickly and easily, be incredibly flexible and spin up machines in an instant.
The DatacenterDynamics Awards are the leading awards for the data centre industry, often referred to as the 'Oscars' of the trade; recognizing innovation, leadership and 'out of the box' thinking. With 15 established award categories, the awards celebrate data centre projects of all sizes, across all sectors with many hundreds of worthy entries.
