Manchester-based cloud hosting and colocation provider, UKFast, is looking for 200 people to help achieve the firm's ambitious growth plans over the next 18 months.

The hosting specialist announces its recruitment drive as it prepares to open the doors to its latest state-of-the-art data centre and colocation facility in Trafford Park.

Since moving the 22 team members into its City Tower headquarters in 2007, numbers at UKFast have grown by 700 per cent. Now 200 people make up the team in the city's highest office space and across its four data centres.

Jobs are being created across the business, with Lawrence Jones, UKFast's CEO, vowing to find 'world-class' technicians, programmers, marketers and account managers to ensure the business continues on its rapid growth curve.

The businessman, who has grown the business year-on-year with no outside funding since 1999, said: "We're on a high at UKFast after 13 years of consistent growth and we're watching a £14 million investment in a powerful data centre complex go live. We're reacting to what our clients need and creating opportunities for them to grow. It's incredibly exciting for me personally and for us as a team, and it's given us the appetite to venture further into this market and dominate it with quality products and unrivalled service.

"We've never used a traditional recruitment process; we're not looking to tick boxes on skills and qualifications. We just want great people who are passionate about being the best then we'll train them and find a role to suit them. It's an approach that's served us well over the last 13 years and I'm incredibly proud of the team we've built already."
