Yahoo tops display internet advertising league Yahoo has gained top place in an online survey that ranks internet sites based on the number of display ads.
ComScore's Ad Metrix software has identified that Yahoo has a total of 18.8 per cent of total display ads on the internet, far out performing its main rivals Microsoft and Google.
Vice president of comScore Alistair Sutcliffe says that the software is important for companies wanting to track the effectiveness of their Internet Advertising.
"ComScore Ad Metrix gives both advertisers and publishers a truly unique perspective on their online ad viewing audience," he said.
Mr Sutcliffe added: "It's [the software] an essential tool for any media planner wanting to understand if their online ad campaigns are reaching the right people and for benchmarking against their competitors' online advertising efforts."
ComScore provides companies with information about the internet by utilising its software to gather accurate data for a range of public and private sector organisations.
