Online commerce set to boom
Business to consumer (B2C) commerce online is due to grow rapidly over the coming five years, according to a new report.
Research by eMarketer found that this valuable market would increase by 25 per cent each year, from €106 billion last year to €323 billion by 2011.
This is especially good news for internet marketers in Britain because the UK is expected to be driving the increase forward, along with France and Germany.
As well as this, internet usage and online Marketing is set to get a boost from the implementation of ultra-wideband connections in the home.
Ofcom has announced that restrictions on the use of this wireless technology are to be relaxed, meaning that homes can become wireless entertainment hubs.
In-Stat predicts that almost 300 million ultra-wideband devices will be sold globally by 2010.
