Designer clothing retailer Mulberry saw online sales grow a massive 99 per cent in the first ten weeks of this financial year.
Mulberry saw an increase in overall sales of 23 per cent to £72.1m in the year ending March 31 2010. In the previous year, the company saw sales of just £58.6m.
Although clearly online business was a strong area of growth for the company, Mulberry did see a significant growth in store sales as well.
Mulberry is doing extremely well in Asia, where wholesale revenues are expected to increase by more than 100 per cent before the end of this financial year.
The company is currently investing in IT to support this rapid growth, and is spending £300,000 on a new ERP system.
New showrooms are scheduled to open in New York and Paris this year with more shops opening in Sydney, Hong Kong, Korea, Qatar, Dubai and Kuala Lumpur in the near future.
