Calling Facebook's new Social Ads strategy an invasion of privacy, MoveOn.org is asking Facebook members to sign a petition against the social network's new ad plan.
More specifically, MoveOn is reacting to a new feature implemented this week that displays private purchases members made on other sites onto users' Facebook News Feeds.
Users must opt-out of making their purchase appear on Facebook. MoveOn believes the social network should allow users to opt-in instead.
Additionally, the political nonprofit sent out an email to its members inviting them to a Facebook profile it created called Facebook, stop invading my privacy!
Last week, it was reported that Facebook's Social Ads may also be against New York law.
