Ebay is rolling out a new mobile application in the UK and Europe for the iPhone and iPod Touch. It will allow Apple users to bid, buy and pay for items directly from their mobile devices.
The service is currently available in the US and will launch in Canada, Ireland and Australia today (September 25).
According to company data, eBay's mobile shoppers spend more per person than the average eBay user and place the winning bid more often than other buyers.
It research has also found that mobile users are already using their phones to buy hundreds of thousands of items each month.
Features on the eBay mobile application includes the ability to view activity on watched items, a search of all eBay auction style and fixed-price listings and a refine button allows user to narrow a search by category, price or listing type.
