Google has reshaped its Product Search feature in the America. It now allows users to search for consumer items at local stores.
In a blog post, Google said that it had partnered with 70 retailers, out of which 35 were offering their product inventories for search.
When users search for a particular item on Google, they can also look for local availability of the product by clicking on the 'nearby stores' label.
John Koryl, Senior Vice-President of eCommerce Marketing at Williams-Sonoma, one of the retailers partnering with Google, said in a statement: "Local availability provides exceptional, local-level product inventory data, store directions and phone numbers. The key is providing our customers with options and Google local availability does exactly that."
At the moment Google's new product search is only available to US customers, with no word of when or if the new features will be expanded to the UK.
