YouTube has begun offering a selection of its videos to download, as the company looks at new ways of monetising its content.
The video sharing website has added a 'Click to download' button to a selection of its videos,, including US President-elect Barack Obama's weekly addresses.
Meanwhile, the company has updated its home-page ads in an attempt to boost revenues.
New ads formats include click-to-play and autoroll expandable ads, as well as a masthead position.
The move follows tests with a number of advertisers in recent months, including Cadbury's, Barclaycard and Apple.
