KMC Agencies, the dance agency based in London and Manchester, is embracing internet marketing with a new website designed to attract agents and casting directors.
The website, created by Harper James, allows potential clients from all industries to type their requirements into the search engine and see immediately if KMC has what they need.
Kay Hilton, KMC's managing director, said: "We've started again with our web business and built a site that complements the way people use the internet. And with a great selection of male and female dancers available the site is already working for us."
Harper James consulted Google to optimise the website's ranking in search engine results, in order to drive traffic to the site.
Gail Jones, managing director of Harper James, said that many entertainment companies need to compromise a little on "art" if they want to operate as a business online.
Jones said: "The websites are often Flash heavy and open with what we call splash pages. Granted, these can look good but they are not conducive to driving traffic and this is just the beginning. In fact, the entire build of a website can make the difference between first place and 100th."
