BBC hires research firm to improve sites
The BBC has awarded a three-year rolling contract to eDigitalResearch. The digital market research firm will carry out surveys and reporting across a variety of the corporation's websites with an aim of improving online customer experience.
The quarterly surveys will gather customer feedback with the aim of helping the BBC make editorial decisions about content and introduce technical improvements to the sites.
In a 196-page report published by the BBC Trust earlier this month, the corporation claimed that it generates about £6.5bn a year for the UK economy.
