A strong web presence is "very important" for a growing business - when it comes to attracting customers and providing them with information, according to Technology Means Business (TMB).
TMB, provider of industry standard accreditation for IT advisors, claims that a web presence is important for attracting customers, holding their attention and providing them with important product and geographical information.
Head of operations at TMB Dr Adam Le Gresley comments: "If your company is not listed or doesn't have a website, it is likely that a new non-referred customer will choose the next best provider they find."
A majority of people trying to locate product or service information will begin by using a search engine, so understanding technology is essential for business owners, he adds.
Earlier this month a study by the Interactive Media in Retail Group (IMRG) revealed that 97 per cent of the UK population had made at least one online purchase - with online shopping increasing by over 40 per cent in the last two years.
