Latest figures from ABC Electronic show that the Telegraph has had a successful year, doubling its online readership in the last twelve months.
The newspaper increased its online audience by 15% in November, according to ABCe stats. User numbers reached 12.8m for November, compared with 6.4m a year ago.
The Telegraph has improved its online offering this year, mainly with the introduction of MyTelegraph, a service that allows readers to set up their own blogs on the site.
This proved to be instantly popular, with nearly 5,000 signing up for blogs in the first two months.
The Sun, which has also launched blogs for its readers this year, saw user numbers rise by 25% to 11.6m last month, and year on year user numbers have increased by 53%.
Guardian Unlimited remained the top UK newspaper website in November, with 17.4m unique users, while the Daily Mail was second with 14.4m. TimesOnline slipped into fourth below the Telegraph, with 12.2m users.
