Tory Shadow Home Secretary, Alan Johnson has today revealed that the security of a House of Commons database has breached on eleven occasions in the last year.
Johnson said that these incidencts represent occasions when information has been accessed or used improperly.
He argues that the party is cracking down on the security of such information.
In the last year six people have been punished for unauthorised access to a database within the House of commons. This includes permitting another individual to log in to a system using your own details.
A further five people have been either disciplined or dismissed for falsifying records or manipulating data.
