A law has come into effect in Vietnam banning online users from discussing current affairs on blogs and social media.
Decree 72 states that only personal information is to be displayed on such sites.
The law also insists upon foreign internet companies keeping their local servers inside Vietnam.
Online material that "opposes" the government is prohibited.
A number of activists, including bloggers, have been convicted for anti-state activity in the country since the turn of the year.
