Twitter has handed over data which will aid attempts to establish who wrote racist messages on the French service last year.
The firm didn't want to provide the data but lost a legal appeal in June and has now settled the case with France's Union of Jewish Students (UEJF).
The Union informed Twitter that a string of racist tweets had appeared and requested their removal.
The messages were deleted and the UEJF and four other anti-racism groups asked for the details of the people responsible for the posts.
When Twitter refused, the five groups launched legal action.
