The judges of Yahoo's annual "Finds of the Year" awards liked it so much they awarded it the Best Innovative Website prize on Thursday. An educational site set up by a primary school in Leicestershire proved a hit with the judges too, beating off tough competition from NASA's Mars Exploration Rover Mission site, one of the five sites shortlisted to win the Best Educational Site prize. Woodland Grange primary school's site, www.woodlandwideweb.org.uk, is created by teachers and pupils and includes the latest teaching resources, news and games. In the Best Weird and Wonderful Web Site category, the Cloud Appreciation Society came top with its pictures of clouds from all over the world. A blog that details one man's quest to meet 500 celebrities won the Best Celebrity Website award. Treasuremytext.com, which allows users to store all their text messages forever, won the Best Community WebSite prize. TV illusionist Derren Brown eerie's site scored the Best TV WebSite award, while Transport for London won the Best Travel Website award. Liveplasma's site, which recommends music and films based on what users like already, won the Best Entertainment award. The Finds of the Year awards celebrate the most original, humorous and useful sites, Yahoo said.
