Researchers from institutions including the University of Oxford say that articles about anarchism and George W Bush are the most keenly-contested on the English language version of Wikipedia.
Religious topics including God and Jesus were debated on a global scale, while other subjects were more locally controversial.

Further research will be conducted to establish how controversial topics change in time.
