The 2015 New Year's Honours List featured a list of awards for people involved in digital transformation programmes.
Those featured on the list included civil servants working in government IT, along with those whose work was involved in putting paper-based activities online.
UKFast CEO and founder Lawrence Jones was awarded an MBE for his services to the digital economy.
Jones believes that the honour recognises the extraordinary effort of the whole UKFast team.
He said: "As nice as it is being recognised like this, you don't get an award like this because of one person. I am the extension of an amazing organisation so this is an award for everybody in UKFast. That's how I see it. And if anyone thought there was any rest coming for me now, think again, because this has just re-motivated me, and it's exactly what I needed at this time in my life. It's time to go again!"
