Chinese telecoms company Huawei Technologies has established a security centre in the UK.
The Cyber Security Evaluation Centre will be based in Banbury, Oxfordshire. Reuters reports that the operation will allow Huawei to test both its hardware and software to make sure that it's up to scratch in terms of cyber-security.
John Frieslaar, Managing Director of the centre, told the press in a statement: "This centre is like a glasshouse - transparent, readily accessible and open to regulators and our customers."
The idea comes following trouble Huawei has recently experienced due to security concerns, in both India and the US. It's hoped that this transparent and independent security testing centre will allay these sort of fears
