With only three months to go before one of Manchester's most highly anticipated events of the year, the shortlist of finalists for this year's Digital Entrepreneur Awards has been announced.
80 businesses from across the country have made the shortlist - including both start-ups and conglomerates - proving businesses of any size are worthy contenders when it comes to winning an award for their services to digital.
The award category for the Digital Entrepreneur of 2014 sees contenders from INK Digital Agency, R.O. Eye Ltd, Twinkl Ltd, Vashi and VE Interactive.
Other names such as Lucozade, Mothercare, Celtic FC and HungryHouse will all pitch their stake in other categories.
Lawrence Jones, judge and CEO of main sponsor UKFast, said: "More entries than ever were received this year, which shows how seriously businesses are taking their contribution to the world of digital today.
"There is so much talent to showcase at the Digital Entrepreneur Awards - whether it's businesses that have been around for 30 years, or individuals who have made a huge mark on the industry in a relatively short period of time.
"I can't wait to meet all the finalists on the night, and to celebrate their success."
The DEAs will take place on October 9, at the Palace Hotel, Oxford Street in Manchester, and promises to be the most successful event to date. Alongside Lawrence Jones, judges include Ann Summers CEO Jacqueline Gold, Brother MD Phil Jones, BBC North Director Peter Salmon and Entrepreneur co-founder Alice Bentinck.
