For the third time in four years, singer Britney Spears is No. 1 -- as far as Internet users are concerned.
Spears topped Yahoo's annual list of the most-searched for names on the Internet. Although she did not release a record containing new material this year, she had a baby -- helping pique the interest of millions.
Spears, 24, was beaten last year by prime-time singing contest "American Idol," but topped the list the two years before that.
Erik Gunther, who compiles the list for Yahoo as its "Buzz Index list guru, said this year's top 10 were all show-business figures and showed people were fixated on pop culture icons.
In second place was 50 Cent, followed by Cartoon Network, which produces a series of risqué cartoons aimed at adults, comeback singer Mariah Carey, grunge rock group Green Day, singer and tabloid star Jessica Simpson, heiress and reality TV star Paris Hilton, rapper Eminem, singer Ciara and actress/singer Lindsay Lohan.
