The British Library is asking the public for advice after announcing plans to preserve a huge amount of web content.
Staff are keen to hear opinion on which websites should be saved to put future generations in the picture.
The British Library has commissioned a survey of the top 100 sites to be preserved, with sites like Facebook, Twitter, eBay and Tripadvisor expected to feature heavily in the final shake-up.
The National Libraries of Scotland and Wales, the Bodleian Libraries in Oxford, the Library of Trinity College in Dublin and Oxford's University Library are following suit.
It comes after a decade of planning and gives visitors the opportunity to see material currently behind paywalls.
Ben Sanderson, from the British Library, said the assumption that information on the internet will always be around is incorrect, and a lot of material has already vanished.
