This month's main story focuses on the breaking news that UKFast is the first certified 100% carbon neutral hosting provider in the UK.

Here at UKFast we are proud to reveal that we are now officially the only PAS 2060 certified hosting provider and are developing our own Hydro-electric plants to create environmentally friendly energy. We'll be able to put clean energy in the grid at source and pull it out direct into our Data Centres.

In other news this month, we cover other businesses with a green conscience, including British Gas as they debut a "smart" meter project across the North East. Finally, we consider the latest news from internet giants Facebook and Ebay as they turn to more eco-friendly hosting with the development of their own green data centres.
