Managed hosting provider Hosted Solutions announced on Friday that it has added speech-recognition platform Yap to its portfolio of Web 2.0 companies.
Hosted Solutions says Yap provides an innovative service that converts anything anyone says into text, instantaneously. This capability is welcome in an increasingly mobile age, where these conversions may be used to support next generation unified messaging and Web services applications, says the company.
Hosted Solutions' IT solution will support Yap's aggressive expansion efforts by providing reliability and availability to their telco grade platform and internal infrastructure. Yap is receiving Hi-Touch managed backups, network services, dedicated hardware and SPLA licensing which are monitored and maintained by Hosted Solutions at its Charlotte, North Carolina data center facility, says Hosted Solutions.
"We're proud that such an innovative organization like Yap chose Hosted Solutions to provide hosting services for its speech recognition platform," says Josh Wolff, general manager of Hosted Solutions Charlotte. "Yap understands that Hosted Solutions is an industry leader in service and support, while also offering the ability to scale with them based on their needs.
This is an excellent example of how Hosted Solutions' experience at providing highly-available and cost-effective IT infrastructure services allows our clients to remain focused on their core competencies and provides them with a differentiator against their competition."
Last week, Hosted Solutions announced it is in the Triangle Business Journal's Annual Fast 50.
