Web hosting provider ProperHost announced on Monday that it has expanded its offers to include Web hosting services based on servers located in the United Kingdom.
Customers can now choose which data center location they prefer their sites hosted from. Previously, all ProperHost client accounts have been hosted on US-based servers in PEER1's facility in Fremont, California.
"Our intention is to provide an equally good service for all our clients, without regard to which part of the world they are physically located," says Sindre Moe, director of ProperHost.net. "With servers now available in the United Kingdom, clients from Europe, Asia, and Africa will all see a significant improvement in terms of network speed and latency."
The UK-based servers are deployed in the BlueSquare Data Center in Maidenhead, located approximately 20 miles from London. The state-of-the-art facility uses N+1 redundant systems and offers a total of 20Gbps network connectivity.
