Eclipse Internet ISP goes carbon neutral

The Kingston Communications owned UK ISP Eclipse Internet claims to have turned environmentally friendly by successfully turning itself into a carbon neutral business: Eclipse Internet, owned by Kingston Communications, has been audited and approved by the CarbonNeutral Company, and is encouraging its customers to go green with a carbon emission calculator on its website. Eclipse director Mark Lang said: "Our new carbon neutral status is a major step toward reducing our impact on the environment, but it is the first of many. We are committed to becoming a fully green ISP, providing a better, more sustainable service for our many thousands of business and residential customers." To turn itself carbon neutral Eclipse has offset its negative impact on the environment by investing in Indian wind farms and a forestry project in Uganda. Source: ISP Review
