The UK has been chosen as the top location in Western Europe to outsource IT infrastructure.
According to the new Black Book IT Infrastructure Management Outsourcing client/user survey, 96.1 per cent of IT professionals said the UK was their preferred destination for the co-location of cloud computing infrastructure.
Britain was followed in second place by France and Germany, which came in third.
The survey showed that trust, reliability and ease of deployment are the most important factors influencing a company's perception of how satisfactory their IT outsourcing service were.
Black Book also noted that satisfaction levels were highest among small and medium-sized businesses that had decided to outsource their IT capabilities.
According to TheHN, the major pitfall for IT outsourcing firms, such as web hosting providers, is offering poor customer service aftercare.
Last year, the firm noted that a lack of post-sale support can leave clients struggling to make the most of the service they have purchased.
