Budget web hosting company, Streamline.Net, has increased the power of its Home and Power User packages, without price increases, beginning at $13.99 per plan, including a free UK domain name.
Details of the plan upgrades include:
Home User used to come with 150MB, now it comes with 250MB
Power User used to come with 500MB, now it comes with 750MB
Andrew Dollamore, CEO of StreamlineNet remarked, ”This is great from a sales point of view but more importantly it?s great to give our existing 60,000 plus customers even more value for money.”
StreamlineNet hosts over 100,000 domain names for over 60,000 customers and add around 200 domains to their servers every day. Hosting packages start from $13.99 per year and servers from $26.99 per month. See www.streamline.net for further details.
Last year, a survey sponored by Streamline.Net, revealed that a survey of its customers indicated that the majority of the 8,753 customers questioned, utilize a broadband, rather than dial-up connection. Out of all of the customers only 259 are still using a dial up connection. At present, there are 11,599,000 Internet users within the UK, of which only 5,300,000 are using broadband.
Andrew Dollamore, CEO of Streamline.Net, who conducted the survey, remarked, ”These findings are very interesting on two levels. Firstly, it’s good to better understand our customers in order to target more accurately products and services more appropriate to their needs.
Secondly, it illustrates the potential of up selling broadband users web hosting as the next natural step. There’s no denying that the gap between broadband and dial up is closing but the gap within the web hosting communality seems almost gone.”
