Solar VTG offers SaaS with Parallels

Web hosting software provider Parallels announced on Wednesday that Solar Virtualisation Technologies Group is using Parallels technologies to launch new software as a service solutions for small and medium businesses.

In its latest press release, Parallels says Solar VTG has been using Parallels Automation data center software to offer its customers integrated mobile and messaging services that include Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint and Blackberry Enterprise Server.

Solar VTG says it is also using Parallels Virtuozzo Containers to offer VPS services, deliver SaaS applications and manage internal administrative tasks with minimal effort.

"Using automation and virtualization technology from Parallels, we have been able to create an optimised infrastructure to fully automate our service delivery platform and offer complex services without cumbersome new customer setup and order provisioning," says Ross Brouse, CEO of Solar VTG.

"The Parallels solution handles our billing, provisioning, licensing and management, so we can focus on our customers and partners."

Established in 2005, Solar VTG says it was founded on the concept of a virtualized business infrastructure. With the use of Parallels virtualisation and automation software, Solar VTG says it has quickly become "a global hosted applications service provider" and delivers a fully automated service platform that enables a focus on personal client relationships and customer support.

Solar VTG is a Platinum partner in the Parallels Service Provider Partner Program.

Earlier this month, web hosting provider Cobweb announced it will be the first service provider to use Parallels Automation with hosted Microsoft Dynamics CRM 4.0.
