Web hosting provider Liquid Web announced on Wednesday it has launched a data protection services based on R1Soft's continuous data protection technology.
Starting at $1 per month per gigabyte protected, Liquid Web's Guardian Secure Managed Continuous Backup and Recovery provides off-site, secure data backup and restoration, in real-time, says the company.
Users can manage their backups directly from cPanel, through a special plug-in, and the service is available for both Linux and Windows servers. An additional MySQL database backup plug-in, which offers live-protection of active databases, is offered as a premium add-on, starting at $50 per month.

Further enhancing its partnership, Liquid Web also recently joined R1Soft's Hosting Partner Program, which the company says provides partners with volume discounts, 50 percent off MySQL add-ons, professional public relations services and other brandable marketing materials.
R1Soft has partnered with many companies in recent months including Cirrus Tech and GeekStorage.
Liquid Web hosted a ground breaking event for its new data center and headquarters in Lansing Michigan.
