This week in London, two of the world most significant mobile phone manufacturers have announced their rival handsets.
Both Nokia and HTC have been showing off their plans for the future during the same week and therefore immediately set each other up as rivals.
Analysts have said that HTC has overtaken Nokia significantly in terms of features. However due to Nokia's faithful followers, the N8 is still predicted to sell very well.
Vodaphone has estimated that 70 per cent of all its sales will be advanced smartphones within just a few years.
Industry experts suggest that the popularity of Nokia phones is built upon excelling in the basics for instance, battery life, reception and solid co-operation with some other services.
The cutting edge of technology however seems to be dominated by HTC, with their mobiles offering social networking, video features and security features that Nokia can but dream of.
