UK-based Web hosting provider Freevirtualservers.com, a hosting service operated by Easy Internet Solutions, announced on Tuesday it has launched a new continuous data protection solution, through a partnership with disk-based backup solution developer Righteous Software, and a downloadable WYSIWYG Web site builder.
FreeVirtualServers says the Windows-based downloadable website builder enables customers to efficiently design websites with a WYSIWYG interface, and publish the sites using FTP. The company says the tool compliments the free rvSiteBuilder and Fantastico tools already offered in the cPanel control panels by the company.
Continuous data protection from R1Soft enables FreeVirtualServers to run four backups per day of all its servers and customer data to a dedicated backup platform. FreeVirtualServers also offers customers access, for an additional fee, to the web platform to enable them to restore data as and when required.
"These new offerings help ensure that FreeVirtualServers continues to offer a simple to use, reliable, feature packed web hosting service at a low cost to new and experienced Web designers," says Mark Esho, managing director of Easy Internet Solutions. "This new R1Soft CDP system provides both our clients and staff with piece of mind at multiple levels. In the unlikely event of catastrophic server failure, we are able to recover all data in record time and if a customer deletes a file, they'll also be able to restore it if necessary within minutes."
