UK-based web hosting provider Daily.co.uk announced on Monday it has launched a new data storage service called DailyDrive.
The company says it's a solution offered with all its web hosting packages that enables users to securely store and access files, such as music, photos or documents online, from anywhere in the world using a web browser or mounting it on their desktop. All documents are stored in Daily.co.uk's Tier 1 data center with multiple connections to the Internet and full redundancy.
Rather than having to deal with concerns over storing and backing up files while on the move or sending emails with large attachments, customers can drag and drop these files into their DailyDrive and pass on the information through a networked environment, says the company.
"This is the start of a web hosting revolution," says Abby Hardoon, managing director at Daily.co.uk. "Aside from the unique features that we are offering, we are also introducing the DailyDrive, which allows our customers to move on from outmoded in-house storage techniques and systems and harness the power of the Daily.co.uk hosting platform and the Internet to simplify their business processes. Of course, because it's Daily.co.uk they get this for free."
