AT&T said this week that it has introduced a new product to its selection of managed security services with AT&T Encryption Services.
The company says the latest addition to its enterprise security portfolio is designed to protect information by providing encryption services, and managing digital signatures in the cloud.
Encryption Services includes email confidentiality tools, sender authentication and non-repudiation, which validates the integrity of an email message and its content to make sure that it was not modified before reaching the recipient.
In a press release that was largely a list of features, the company reported that the Encryption Services portfolio included encrypted mail, encrypted documents and encrypted document delivery.
"Data protection and loss prevention is becoming increasingly critical for businesses of all sizes with data breaches costing organizations more and more each year," says S. Dale McHenry, vice president for enterprise network services at AT&T, in the announcement.
"AT&T's managed security services provide businesses with the tools and resources that they need to securely handle their data, helping to enforce data privacy and save money with the electronic transfer of documents."
AT&T says its managed security services portfolio is built around the principles of building in-the-cloud security that helps businesses reduce cost and remove dependency on hardware and software.
A more detailed examination of AT&T's security solutions is posted in the security section of the company's website.
In late May, AT&T reported that it would be providing hosting and managed services to hotel chain Global Hyatt.
