Online video and audio podcasting network Podango announced on Monday that it has become fully integrated with open source blogging software provider WordPress and PodPress to give bloggers a free hosting platform for podcasts.
Podango says its integration with WordPress and PodPress lets bloggers manage their own, independent audio and video shows using the company's hosting, syndication, audience measurement and website creation tools.
"WordPress bloggers can host audio and video shows on the Podango Network and also enjoy unlimited access to industry-leading tools for managing podcasts, automating show assembly and integrating advertising through a revenue share with Podango," says Lee Gibbons, CEO of Podango. "Also, bloggers with popular shows can join Podango-hosted stations and get additional assistance with marketing and sponsorships."
Podango says it continues to add new features to its hosting platform for bloggers, such as an embeddable podcast player for use in featuring and sharing podcasts. Podango is also integrating Kiptronic's dynamic ad insertion, campaign management and measurement software to its P2 hosting platform, which will let bloggers dynamically schedule, insert and track pre-roll, mid-roll and post-roll audio and video advertisements in podcasts.
